Learning to sail is a great way to get students outside, active and enjoying their local surroundings and is a fantastic way of meeting PE and Outdoor Education requirements.

In addition to this we are also able to tailor make packages to suit your school, whether it is as part of the school activity week, an after school club, specific items to be covered as part of a PE lesson, or DofE elements etc. Just let us know your requirements and we will be happy to help.

We are also experienced at working with children who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET. We currently have funded places for these children to learn to sail and powerboat, whilst also improving their English, social skills and general self asteem. Pentewan Sailing is a sailing school based on the beach at Pentewan (right next to the campsite), just off the main Mevagissey to St Austell Road with easy parking right by the beach. We are an RYA recognised training centre for teaching sailing and power-boating and have an AALA Licence. We offer nationally recognised qualifications, and teach the complete RYA National Sailing Scheme from beginner through to instructor level.  Our minimum age for participants is 8.
